[Need help!] WMO Minimap

9 posts in this topic

Greetings!

I have issue with minimap on my custom wmo! Its always shown as black (no minimap).

My md5translate file settings looks good(I'm 99% sure) - alphabet, tab, path, blp file are ok.

Also, I tested to rename my custom WMO to OrcInn.wmo(or any other wmo), and its works fine...

Or I missed something?

Plx help!!11111

You missed giving any information.

A usual good start is giving the diff you applied, I.e. the files touched, their content etc, essentially your patch.

Without that nobody CAN give you any more help than “make it again, but more correct this time”.

Well, I think, theres no any dif between wow versions when you're facing minimaps... But ok:

1.12.1 WoW

Custom WMO, based on ingame WMO (some 3d edition + re-texturing).

Thats hows looking md5translate.rts

dir: WMO\PvP
dir: WMO\PvP\Buildings
dir: WMO\PvP\Buildings\Azcrater
WMO\PvP\Buildings\Azcrater\AzsharaAllianceFortress_001_00_00.blp    azallystronghold.blp

  • Is the file really called `md5translate.rts`?
  • is that a tab or spaces separating the names?
  • where did you add azallystronghold.blp?

The information you have given is _not_ complete, which is what I was saying in my first comment.

- textures\minimap\md5translate.rts  (no ".rts" in name ofc, its file format)

- its tab, no space ofc. also, alphabet names ofc.

- azallystronghold.blp is placed in textures\minimap

Ye, thats looks kinda wierd I know...

The file format is trs, not rts.

In your post it is spaces, meaning you don't show the actual file/changes but some reproduction of it. This means one can not realistically debug this issue since one does not have the _actual_ change but only what you claim is the change.

I'm not sure if I want/can help you with this, but if, then _please_ provide the actual change, e.g. in form of your MPQ.

Can't see anything obviously wrong. Only see that azcrater is lowercase in list file and "Azcrater" in trs. No idea if that makes a difference. It shouldn't. Also, are you sure you're using the right wmo group?

Well, thats why I started this topic =)

I tested with other WMO's, changed names, paths, .blp and etc etc etc.

I noticed that I can change .blp assigned to WMO, but I can't add any new WMO, even if this wmo is renamed copy of any wmo.

Any ideas?
