  1. So, here we are with the last version of the mod. Two years has passed since I started to mod this game version and I can say that I enjoy it very much as I enjoy seen and play the classic game version with the updated models. This version now includes some of the latest models that released with Battle of Azeroth thought due to recent changes that Blizz made to the models system they made it almost impossible to convert them to classic or downport and glitch beyond fix. I would like to thank everyone that helped and assist during the mod creation and progress as also testing before any release was made. New Additions : For sake of simplicity and after many requests now Balsh Character models are merged with my mod. New world models added Replaced Class Icons in character creation screen with a better and detailed versions Replaced party icons when in not in range to reflect the new modern icons New loading screens added from Battle of Azeroth New character screen race icons from Legion New models added from Battle of Azeroth and Cata Replaced some class weapons models and World drop weapons from Legion, WoD, WotLK (Warrior, Priest, Rogue, Druid, Shaman, Hunter, Warlock) Replaced some weapons models from [Quest:The Argent Hold] from Legion Replaced Shaman Stormstrike spell icon with the one from the current game version current game version Replace Warlock's Fire spells and icons with Cataclysm Fel version of the spell's Replaced "Knight's Colors Tabard" and "Stone Guard's Herald Tabard" from Legion Elemental models are returned to their default models state
  2. New changes are here. Thanks to Drood182 and Leeviathan from Modcraft by creating those awesome mods. Leeviathan for the High Elves and the Chinese version for the Undead models but as also the fix for tabarbs and fine tuning general the WoD character models and Drood182 for creating new skins for the tiger model. So now i have update Balsh mod to be compatible with the High Elves model as also with the general extra fixes. New Additions : Abominations model update Ghouls model update New Skybox for Stratholme (Orgirmmar Raid skybox used for that) Paladin's Charger model update Warlock's DreadSteed model update Treasure Chest model update Fixed Druids Gift of the Wild spell icon Reworked skins for the Tiger model (by Drood182) Balsh Character models reworked including: Tabarbs, removed doubled polygons,  undead features reworked plus higher-res bone textures (by Leeviathan) * New Undead Character model - Chinese Version (by Leeviathan) BARE in mind, all 3 mods, the creatures, Balsh Char mod and Leeviathan Chinese version can work together. DONT USE my version of Balsh link from here if you want only the character models. Use the STAND ALONE VERSION from Modcraft. Also i'll advice don't change the order of the patches, is been tested to work that way, unless you are aware of what you doing. * Completely reworked character models for Balsh's WoD Character Models 1.12.1 models, use in tandem with Balsh's mod. Fixes include: corrected tabard UV mapping for all, removed doubled polygons (mainly doubled belt meshes, this fixes transparency on things like ghost form), undead features reworked + higher-res bone textures + some miscellaneous corrected textures, rogue vertex tamed on tauren male, some corrected textures for tauren females, tons of hair UV fixes and un-decimated dwarf beards.

Hello all, Im Uthil and for the past month i've been working this project when accidentally found PhantomXization tutorial about down porting WoD models to WotLK and i start to dig how you could do it for a classic client, and then i found Koward's aka Spik96 tool. So i start to experiment and final i found my self deep inside modding again. Yes i was modding way back and i was mostly modding FPS games like BF2 and mostly COD:Uo. Tho upon starting modding/editing WoW saw that was a whole different thing from the FPS modding that i knew. Anyway dont want to go far away, my original topic is in the other forum tho it seems now kinda empty so after  a bit of consideration i decide to move my topic here, since it seemed more active than the other forum and i hope to find some help by learning more or correcting my mistakes or even people that doing it even as a hobby like me or professionally. So here is what i have done already :            
  4. Halp with blender

    Hi people! Recently I wanted to start modeling, searched for some guides online and downloaded everything. Everything went fine, I've extracted some models and uploaded in blender,the next day when i tried to import other models i got this error( and the old models that i had stopped working. I've tried to reinstall everything, tried different versions of blender.. nothing worked. The version of the game that I'm using is the retail one, 7.3.5. anyone can help? Thanks in advance for the help!

    So upright orcs just went live into the alpha BFA servers. I dont really understand how to swap models and i ask the proffesionals here, if its possible to swap the hunched model with the upright one in vanilla or any other older version of WoW?
  7. Wow Custom Project

    I have been messing around with wow modding for awhile now, and one thing I have enjoyed doing, was porting models and textures over to other game engines (Unreal 4). I have shared some screens and videos in the past of this, though, the majority of what I did was not seen by others, and kept on my computer. That is about to change though as I have a project that I absolutely want to accomplish / do, and, I am gonna be sharing everything that I make or show with all of you as I go along. This project is also to challenge myself as well as to be a learning tool for Substance, UE4, and Blender. The concept of the project is actually really simple, I want to make my own game world within the UE4 engine with a Wow type look and feel from scratch. Now I am not talking doing coding and such and making a game out of it. I am talking assets/models and textures, mainly the game enviorment. I don't want to use the wow models, but instead, make my own (including textures), that way I can also share everything with all of you without worry of breaking any copyrights, as well as learn a thing or two :). I will have a roadmap of sorts and also all the links to the downloads of the stuff I make here on this post for people to use but also give feedback on so I can improve my skills as I go along, and, to give something back to the people of this community, for all the stuff they have given to others over the years. You can do as you wish with all the textures and models I post here for download, except for one specific thing, you may not redistribute them saying that you made said model or said texture. I don't need any credit or a link to anything if you don't feel like it, just don't take credit for the creations when you didn't make them is all I am saying. Other then that, you can do whatever, and, anything you make with the models and textures is yours and yours alone. I would like to see what you make with the stuff though (just too see it in action and whatnot hehee).   First thing I am gonna start with is the landscape/terrain textures, below is the road map of what I plan on creating to start off with. As I complete each set I will update this post with a Download Link for you all to grab them. All textures will be 2048x2048 and tileable, If you plan on using these in your wow modding project, I don't know what Wow has set for its max resolution, but, you can use gimp to scale the image down to 1024x1024, or I might just ad that resolution to the download. Without further ado, here is the road map for the terrain.     Is there a way to increase number of vertices on ported HD models from Legion to Wotlk, and not have them broken like in the picture?

    Version 1.0.0


    A release of the new Legion female Naga model which has been remapped to fit in Wrath of the Lich King as a race, mainly just a resource for anyone who doesn't want to go through the hassle of re-UVing the entire thing. This includes the m2, skins and some textures (2 skin and face textures, if you want more the premise is pretty simple; just refit the Legion Naga textures to the ones I'm supplying).     Thanks very much to Experimenst for making this possible with the downport from Legion to Cataclysm!

  12. Legion Armor Models

    Hey there guys, I am brand new to the site and all the modeling I have ever been involved in has been through WoW Model Viewer. I do have basic knowledge of Photoshop as well given how I edit screenshots there. I have been looking at the forums to solve an issue of mine; How on earth can I export a model to Blender, or WMV without it losing its renders? This is what WMV is doing to the hunter set for example.     This is what it should look like (same as in game). I am using a human here because the added armor is more prominent for the screenshot. It is the same for blood elves. (Focus on gloves and pants).       Any ideas how to fix this thing? It would be massively appreciated!          
  13. Legion Based Vanilla Project

    Hi I just found this site and it looks like where I want to be. I want to start a vanilla server project with a couple of friends who are going to help me set it up. We don't plan on hosting this publicly. Just something we like to doas a hobby. I proposed this (my idea of a vanilla server) to them and they all want to try and see if we can pull it off.    My project I want to start would be a tad different. I want to base the build off of legion release but restrict what I don't want in the game. Bringing the level cap back to 60. Leaving the  base leveling infrastructure and landscape as if you were to start a fresh to on on live right now.  But... it will be harder. To avoid the most work possible I will be tweaking the character damage health and stats down so that all the mobs in game will simply be harder while leveling and obviously lower the XP rates.  This would give me the character models.. spells.. and quests and NPCs to allow leveling all the way to 60 without having to do anything else really.  I would like to alter the spells and possibly reintroduce the origional talent structures  BUT.. I would like to leave the new classes in place but tweaked obviously. Which might require complete talent creation for classes that have came out since vanilla but if that is a ridiculously optimistic task.. then I may leave the talent systems in as they are.  But.. things like spells will be learned the old way.   I want to introduce a new "after game" for characters that complete end game content and raids will earn unlocks to their character. The harder the encounter the bigger the reward. Such as a flying tome will only be earned by completing firelands. And after all content has been completed on a character they will have access to a new spell that will Teleport them to an restricted zone that has portals to scaled down versions of selected raids from future expansions.. think... caverns of time in reverse.  Where players can do a level 60 version of ICC to unlock new gear and death Knight classes for their account as an example.  By going about it this way I can add in scaled down versions of all newer legendaries. Like level 60 warglaives. The game will continue this way and give players more to do at level cap. Now the hard part........ I want to introduce flex to all raids and I want it to flex from 5 to 10. (I won't be attempting to handle 40 man raids). Just something me and some guildies can do in our free time if we want to go 5 man firelands or Naxx or something like that.)  But I would like to keep the things that make the game enjoyable.  Transmog.. for example. Looking for group.. but exclude heirlooms.  The only major sacrifice is the azeroth landscape..  By using legion I will be stuck with the legion based azeroth. Which is fine with us. The NPCs are there.. the questing is there.. I can tweak and remove as needed to tie up loose ends and remove quests that forward to future expansions. The alternative to be able to move new character models and spells on the old landscape is a process that will take FOREVER to accomplish. And when all that's really bad about it is that it's too easy. And I can fix that. I don't see that it's a terrible idea to maintain all of that which will free up time to get right into the fun stuff.    Anyway I want to start this tomorrow. And am looking for resources and tutorials to help me get this going. I've done some sql editing in the past and have ran a private server but it's been years.. not since before WotLK. So any help would be great.

  16. Noggit indoor models dissapear

    I put doodads into a building in noggit, but the doodads ingame deisappearing when i step into the interior but the collision stay. Why are my doodads dissapearing

  18. Naxxramas Skyrim Mod request...

    Hello members of the Model Changing community. I have come here to make a request from you highly experienced modders. Specifically, I am making a mod in the game Skyrim based on Naxxramas in World of Warcraft. I uploaded a youtube video if you want to see how it looks so far: Now while I am making some decent progress, what I would really like to do is get the models from WoW into Skyrim. I have already exported a lot of files from the WoW model viewer but there are some that I can't like the Necromancer model (because the model viewer crashes when I try to export it), and the drapes and giant skulls that hang from the walls inside Naxxramas. I've looked all through the files and those do not seem to be in there. Furthermore I need to know how to actually import WoW models into Blender then from Blender into Skyrim's Creation Kit. I don't know if this is the right place to ask since this place seems to deal mostly with WoW modding, but I really need to know how to do this and I already asked pretty much everywhere else. Anyway if someone could teach me how to do it or even better make a resource pack I would be very grateful.
